Training, qualifications & experience
I am a BSc integrative counsellor, with an MSc in Psychology and have been trained in Systemic family therapy at King’s College London. I am a member of the British Association of Counseling and Psychotherapy (BACP), the British Psychological Society (BPS) and the Association of Family Therapists (ATF). I specialise in anxiety, depression and trauma, but also a variety of issues including attachment and relationship issues, physical and sexual abuse; stress and phobias; bereavement and multiple losses, moderate/severe difficulties with self-esteem; workplace bullying; cultural and spiritual issues, significant life-changing events such as divorce or redundancy; adjustment problems related to a health issue or identity crisis.
My past experiences include the Family Therapy Clinic at South London and Maudsley Hospital, Women’s Aid-Trauma counselling for historical sexual abuse-historical or current; Lambeth Talking Therapies NHS IAPT - anxiety and depression; The Awareness Centre: open-ended, long-term counselling; The Listening Place-supporting high-risk suicidal clients.
