I have worked with a range of client issues including, Anxiety, Stress, Depression, Addiction, Debt, Coping with Life Worries, Grief and Bereavement, Sleep Issues, Family Conflicts, Career Difficulties, Endometriosis, PCOS, Benzodiazepine Addiction and LGBTQ+ Related Issues
I hold a Certificate in Counselling, Professional Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy and have undertaken courses in, Anger Management, Assertiveness, Health & Wellbeing, Suicide and Self-Harm Awareness and Prevention, as well as many others. I am currently undertaking a Diploma in Criminology and studies in Eating Disorders Awareness, Mental Health First Aid and Psychopharmacology.
I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and hold to their Ethical Framework.
My therapy style is empathic, non-judgmental, warm, and supportive. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion.
I believe that every persons journey is individual and that there is no "one size fits all" approach to therapy. Therapy needs to be tailored to each individual clients needs. Therefore, my therapy style is that of an Integrative one, this allows me to draw on a various therapeutic approaches such as Existential, Psychodynamic, ACT; to tailor therapy our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.
My journey to becoming a counsellor began after experiencing my own mental health issues. Past personal experience with Depression, Benzodiazepine Addiction, Alcohol Addiction and Debt; saw my life implode, and I lost almost everything. Receiving the necessary help from those around me, a local mental health charity and my counsellor, helped me to put one foot in front of the other again. It was this support which gave me the courage and strength to face these hurdles and eventually overcome them. I began to face the future with some new found hope. I decided that I wanted to give back and help others to discover the same courage and strength.
I started my counselling studies in late 2017. During this time, I worked in a volunteer role, for the same local mental health charity who helped me, where I helped clients with various issues.
Mid 2020 saw me undertake a role at a very well renowned local cancer hospice, where I helped clients to navigate their journey through loss and bereavement. This role was extremely rewarding and facilitated in my undertaking further studies surrounding the family dynamics of grief.
From 2022 to recently, I worked part-time for a charity, where I utilised my skills in helping clients with many differing issues, including suicidal ideation.
As of the beginning of 2023, I set-up my own private practice, supporting clients with wide and varied issues.
You have already taken that all important step, by finding the courage to seek out a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. I am here to support & empower you in that journey.
Should you have any questions about therapy, or simply wish to know more about how I practice, then please get in touch.

My name is Callum
I am a fully qualified, registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. I trained to become a counsellor following a beneficial experience as a client. I know what it is like to speak to someone about personal experiences, and I still engage in my own personal therapy regularly.
I want you to know that I will tread lightly in our work together as you guide me through the experiences that you feel comfortable exploring. I am experienced in the application of theoretical approaches and practical methods which place you at the centre of your therapy. I will always recognise you as the expert when it comes to your lived experiences, and I will draw from what you yourself bring to counselling. I believe that an autonomous exploration of your experiences within the safety afforded by a professional relationship can provide you with the space required to unpack what is going on for you, identify triggers and potential new coping strategies, and find meaningful ways to move forward with your therapeutic goals.
My role in your therapy is to help facilitate an environment in which you feel comfortable enough to be candid with me, but always at your own pace. Together, we can look at what you bring to each session and try to find out a little more about what it means for your experience. I may offer observations and ask questions wherever it feels appropriate or like it might be useful to you, but I will always follow your lead. I will regularly check my understanding, ask for you to appraise the work that we do, and I will listen with earnestness and respect should you tell me when I have misunderstood something or that my interventions are off target.
